Editorial policy & verification standards
This page is the contract behind every number on the site: how facts get here, how uncertainty is labeled, and what happens when we're wrong.
1. Sourced first
Game numbers (prices, costs, wages, odds, thresholds) are published only with a source we can show: an official patch note, a community wiki, a named guide, or a recorded playthrough. Every source is stored with its link, the date we accessed it, and the game version it applies to. Where no public source exists — and sometimes none does — the page says so plainly instead of filling the gap.
2. Label the uncertainty
- Verified in game — checked first-hand, with version and date, listed on the game's changelog page.
- Community-sourced — from a maintained wiki or multiple independent sources; the page names them and notes which game version they describe.
- Single-source — one guide, video or thread; labeled as such and treated as tentative.
- Illustrative — clearly-marked example arithmetic ("say a pack costs $4.00…"). Never presented as game data.
A number without one of these labels shouldn't be on the site. If you find one, that's a bug — report it.
3. Version and date everything
Every game-dependent claim carries the game version it was checked against, and each game has a public changelog page listing what was verified when. When a game updates, affected pages are re-checked before they're edited — refreshing a date without re-verifying the facts is exactly what we don't do.
4. The role of AI on this site
AI tools help with drafting structure, tightening prose, building page code, and collecting community sources. They do not invent game facts: every number an AI-assisted draft uses must carry its saved source link, and it's published with that provenance or not at all. Screenshots come from real playthroughs, not from other sites or from generated images; other people's material is only used with permission and credit.
5. Corrections
- You report an error (page, claim, your version, evidence if you have it).
- We re-check the source — the original wiki, guide, patch note, or the game itself where possible — not by arguing.
- If it was wrong, the page is fixed and the correction is logged on the game's changelog page with the date. We don't silently overwrite.
6. Independence & advertising
Recommendations on this site are not sold. Today the site runs no advertising. If advertising is ever added, it will be kept out of tool controls and results, clearly separated from content, and this policy plus the privacy page will be updated first. Ads will never be styled to look like calculator buttons, copy buttons, or download links.
7. Independence from developers
We are not affiliated with any developer or publisher. We buy the games we cover. Developers don't get copy approval, and early access to review builds would be disclosed on the page it affected.
